Andaman & Nicobar Islands, also named "Mini India", is a unique example of Unity in Diversity. Not only the place, but the people who live there are truly amazing. I am so glad to have planned this trip! This is going to be a long post so I'll get into the trip right away...

I visited the Islands in the month of March, my birthday month. It's the best time to visit according to Google. We had a tiring flight from Chandigarh to Delhi to Chennai to Port Blair( the capital of Andaman & Nicobar). I reached the destination on 17th March at around 12.00 Noon.
DAY 1: PORT BLAIR
I visited this beautiful little beach, namely Corbyns Cove Beach at Port Blair with a number of water activities to try. The road leading to the beach was nothing less than paradise. I tried jet skiing and had an amazing experience! If you wish to take some beachy memories with you, there are some souvenir shops around at every beach in Andaman. After a while of rest, I went on to the Cellular Jail where a light and sound show takes place everyday. It tells one about the history of the Islands beautifully! You'll have to book your tickets a few hours before you leave for the show.

DAY 2 & 3: HAVELOCK
Waking up to another beautiful day at 6 in the morning, celebrating my birthday, I headed to the ferry point. A ferry leaves from Port Blair to different islands every hour. You need to book tickets for the same beforehand or else expect your trip to be spoiled. It took us around 2 hours to reach Havelock. But oh what a beauty the place is! The only fact that irritated me all over the trip was the unavailability of Wi-fi or mobile data.
I stayed at a beach side resort and it was truly a treat to the eyes. I am scared of deep waters but I tried scuba diving for the first time and it was a hell of an experience. I wish I could experience it once more at Havelock. Later we rented a scooty and drove off to Radhanagar Beach, Asia's best and World's 7th best beach. It takes around 30 minutes from the main market to reach Radhanagar beach. High tides, emerald clear water, white sand and cherry on the top, it has a beautiful sunset! If you visit Havelock, don't forget to dine at Charcoal. It was a great restaurant with amazing songs for a place with no Wi-fi.

Day 3 of the trip and hopes high. According to the plan, we had to visit Elephant Beach but due to some unforseen circumstances we decided to stay in Havelock and visited Kala pathar beach. It's another captivating beauty. It took me 6 hours of sandcastles, 5 coconuts, ocean pearls, lots of shopping from the souvenir shops and a hell lot of fun to leave the beach that day. It was definitely the best time I've had there. Anju Coco was the place where we dined and rejoiced the fun we had.

DAY 4: CHIDIYA TAAPU
Goodbye Havelock. We took the ferry back to Port Blair and drove to Chidiya Taapu which was a 1 hour drive. The roads were between a deep forest and it scared me for a while. The place was closed because of an incident that took place at one of the beaches at Port Blair a month ago. But we tourists were quite enthusiastic about roaming around so nothing stopped us from exploring the Taapu. It was more like a garden with a lake on the other side. The place looked great even though it was such a mess.

DAY 5: NORTH BAY BEACH
I traveled in a motor boat for the first time that day. It was a 20 minute drive from Port Blair to North Bay. It was a rocky beach but the cleanest of all. There were souvenir shops just like all the other beaches, better actually. You won't find many tourists in Port Blair as it isn't a tourist spot even after being the capital of the Islands. Just one whole day at Port Blair would have been sufficient to explore the capital. Finally I visited the very popular Zonal Anthropological museum. It focuses on the ethnic tribes that have lived in Andaman & Nicobar since ages. With this, this beautiful trip came to an end.

Some tips if you're traveling to the Andamans:
1. You will need a minimum of four days to make it a memorable trip
2.Take at least 2 sun protection lotions with you.
3. Drink sufficient water throughout to avoid dehydration.
4. If you want to visit Ross Island, make sure it's not a Wednesday. The Island is closed on Wednesdays for maintainence.
5. March is the best time to visit as the place is not packed with a lot of tourists during this time.
6. If you have the time, pay a visit to the beautiful Neil Islands.
7. A variety of eatables are available in Andamans. So lessen your luggage if that's what's increasing it.
8. Carry some light clothing with you every time you visit any beach.
9. Do not by any chance miss scuba-diving. The view under water is amazing there.
10. If you're someone who gets sunburn, carry a sunburn relief cream for sure.
11. A tip from my sister: Do not forget to take a bill of all the items you purchase from the souvenir shops as it might cause a problem at the airport.
12. Lastly, carry an extra bag for tourist items you pick along the way.
I hope you guys experienced the Andamans through my blog. Thank you for reading, if you loved this do like & share this post.
Much love,
